Warranty Terms Differ by Line

A single-source package does not mean a single warranty. MPMC’s published terms list the diesel genset series at 1 year or 1,000 operating hours, the GSB and GB hybrid series at 2 years or 1,500 operating hours, the HBD-A and HBD-E storage series at 5 years or 2.2 MWh per kWh for the system with battery performance at 10 years or 4.3 MWh per kWh, and the HBD-R mobile series at 3 years or 1.6 MWh per kWh.

Lighting terms differ again, with the HSL solar series at 2 years or 1,000 charge-discharge cycles and the HBL hybrid series listing the diesel portion at 1 year or 1,000 hours with the lithium battery portion at 2 years or 1,000 cycles. Engine and alternator coverage follows those manufacturers’ own terms, so the claim routes should be mapped at order stage even where one company supplies everything.

Standardising Across a Mixed Portfolio

The practical economy comes from limiting variety rather than from breadth itself. One controller family across every rating, one alternator brand, one battery family and one coating standard specified to the harshest environment the equipment will visit all reduce training, spares and fault-finding time.
